The Slovak Society for Telemedicine and Digital Health (“Company”, “we”, “our” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, maintenance, protection, and disclosure of certain information in connection with your use of our website environment (the “Website”), facilities, products, services, portals, and other related materials and technologies (the Website and the Establishment, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy applies to the information we collect:

  • On the Website;
  • Through our Services;
  • Via telephone, email, video, text messages and other electronic messages between you and our Services;
  • When you interact with our ads and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising contain links to this Policy.

The Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected:

  • and obtained from us by other means, including other websites operated by ADD or a third party;
  • by a third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible through the Services.

This company is a technology, not a medical organization. Any telemedicine consultations obtained through the Website or Services are provided by independent physicians (“Provider”). Provider is responsible for providing you with a privacy policy that describes the collection and use of your health information.

The Privacy Policy document will help you understand your rights and privacy choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not use our Services. If you access or use the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Subsequent use of the Services after changes have been made will be deemed acceptance of those changes, so please check the Privacy Policy document periodically for the most current version. 1. WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT?

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register, when you express an interest in receiving information about the Company or our products or Services, when you use the Services, or when you otherwise contact us.

The personal information we collect from you depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, your permissions, and the products and features you use.

The information we collect through the Services may be stored or combined with personal information we collect in other ways or that we obtain from third parties.

The personal information we collect may include:

Automatically collected personal data

In short: Certain information, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device properties, is collected automatically at the time you use the Services.

We collect certain types of information automatically, at the time you visit or use the Services. This information includes device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device properties, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is necessary to maintain the security and operation of the Services and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes. We also collect information through the use of cookies and similar technologies.

The information we collect includes:

  • Device Data, such as information about your computer, mobile device, tablet or other device that you use to access the Services. Depending on the device you use, this Device Data may also include information such as your IP address (or proxy server), device identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model, internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, operating system, and system configuration information.
  • Information about your device’s location. How much information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the Services. For example, we may use GPS and other technologies to collect geolocation data that tells us your current location (based on your IP address). You can prevent access to this information by refusing or disabling the location setting on your device. However, if you choose to opt-out, you may not be able to use certain features of the Services.
  • Stored information and files. The App collects metadata and other information associated with uploaded photos and images.

The information we collect automatically may contain personal information or may be stored or combined with personal information that we collect in other ways or obtain from third parties.

Information we collect from third parties

We receive information about your use of the Services that is collected by third parties. We may use analytics service providers to analyze how you use the Services so that we can improve and offer better services to our clients. Third parties may use cookies, web beacons, and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Services and other websites, which may include tracking over time and on your web browser IP address, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, and conversion information. We may also use third parties such as your customer support to report information to us so that we can assist you in using our Service.

2. FOR WHAT PURPOSES DO WE PROCESS PERSONAL DATA?

We process your personal data for various reasons, depending on how you communicate and use our Services:

  • to provide you with the services you request.
  • to answer your questions and resolve any potential issues you may have with the requested services.
  • If you choose to use one of our offerings that allow you to communicate with another user.
  • To request feedback. Where necessary, we may process your information to request feedback and contact you about your use of our Services.

  • When we believe it is necessary to identify usage trends, determine the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns, evaluate and improve our Services, products, marketing and your experience.

The Company uses and discloses sensitive personal information only as described in the Privacy Policy and collects only the sensitive personal data we need to perform the Services and to respond to you or your Provider or Device. We use your sensitive personal information to contact you to the extent permitted by law to provide you with the Services you request. We may combine your information with other information about you available to us, including information from other sources. Sensitive personal data will not be used for any other purpose, including marketing, without your consent.

3. HAT LEGAL BASES WE RELY ON TO PROCESS PERSONAL DATA

Applicable legal bases on which we rely to process your personal data:

  • Approval. We can only process your data if you have given us consent to use your personal data for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Performance of the contract. We may process your personal data when we believe it is necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations to you, including the provision of our Services, or only at your request prior to entering into a contract with you.
  • Legitimate interest. We may process your data if we believe it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests and those interests are not overridden by your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms. For example, we may process your personal data for the purposes of:

    • creating and displaying personalized and relevant advertising content for our users
    • analyse how our Services are used so that we can improve them to engage and retain users

  • Life-threatening interest. We may process your information if we believe it is necessary to protect your life-threatening interests or the life-threatening interests of a third party, for example in situations involving a potential threat to the safety of any person.

4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We do not share, sell or disclose your personal information for any purposes other than those outlined in this Privacy Policy. However, we may publish user statistics that do not identify any person, without restriction.

We may only disclose personal information that you provide to us and that we collect in the manner set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Where necessary, we will share your personal data in the following situations:

  • Business transfers. We may share or transfer your personal information to a buyer or other successor in connection with a merger, merger, sale, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as an ongoing business or in bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceedings in which personal data of users of our Services are among the assets transferred.
  • To our affiliates, contractors, service providers and other third parties that we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we provide it to them. The services provided by these organisations include the provision of IT services and infrastructure support.
  • For any other purpose we have informed you of when providing personal data.
  • In order to comply with a court order, law or legal process.
  • If we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of the Company, our customers or others. This means exchanging personal data with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction purposes.
  • third-party vendors, Service providers, contractors who perform Services for us on our behalf and need access to such information for this work. We have contracts with our third parties to ensure the protection of your personal data. This means that they do not have the right to dispose of, share or otherwise handle your personal data, unless we have expressly instructed them to do so.

5. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to access or store certain types of information whenever you interact with our website via a computer or mobile device. You can refuse to receive cookies on your computer by activating the appropriate setting in your browser, and you can have similar options on your mobile device in the operating system or browser settings. However, if you choose this setting, you may not be able to access some parts of our website or the Application.

Analytics services. We use Google Analytics, a web and mobile application analytics service provided by Google, Inc. and Appsflyer, to collect certain information regarding your use of the App. These analytics services are integrated into our App to help us analyse how users use our App.

6. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA LOGINS?

We will only use the information we collect for the purposes contained in this Privacy Policy. Please note that we do not control and are not responsible for any other use of your personal data by your social media provider.

7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP PERSONAL DATA?

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

Where we have no legitimate business need to process your Personal Data, we will delete or anonymize such Data, or where this is not possible (for example, because your Personal Data has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store and isolate your Personal Data from any further processing, for as long as it cannot be deleted.

8. HOW DO WE KEEP PERSONAL DATA SECURE?

We have implemented appropriate and proportionate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of all personal data we process from loss, unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. We use encryption technology for the information we send and receive. However, despite our security measures and efforts to secure your personal information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or storage technology can be guaranteed to be one hundred percent secure, so we cannot promise or warrant that hackers, cybercriminals or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to breach our security and unlawfully collect, access, steal or modify your personal information. While we do everything in our power to protect your Personal Information, the transmission of Personal Data to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services in a secure environment. If you have chosen a password to use our application, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of this password. We ask that you do not share your password with anyone. We are not responsible for circumventing any privacy settings or security measures contained in the Services.

9. DO WE COLLECT PERSONAL DATA FROM MINORS?

We do not knowingly process data of persons under the age of 18. If we learn that personal information from users under the age of 18 has been collected without the supervision and consent of the minor’s parents or legal guardians, we will take reasonable steps to promptly delete such information from our records.

10. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD COUNTRIES OR INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

No transfer of data to third countries or international organizations takes place. We do not disclose your personal data for which you have given us your consent further.

11. WHAT ARE YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS?

You have certain privacy rights under applicable law:

  • request access to your personal data and a copy thereof;
  • request correction or erasure,
  • restrict the processing of your personal data, or o
  • the right to data portability.

According to Art. 21 of the EU Regulation 2016/679 GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of data that is based on our legitimate interests. If we do not have a convincing legitimate reason for processing and you object, we will no longer process your personal data.

You can make such a request through the contact form on the site. We will consider each request and act in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Withdrawal of consent: We rely on your consent to process your personal data, which may be explicit and/or implied depending on applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the contact details set out in the “HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US REGARDING THIS DOCUMENT?” section below. Please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to the withdrawal of consent and, where permitted by applicable law, will not affect the processing of your personal data carried out on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

You can unsubscribe from marketing and promotional communications from us at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in emails we send or by contacting us using the details set out in the “HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US REGARDING THIS DOCUMENT?” section below. In this case, you will be removed from marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you – for example, to send you service-related messages, respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.

12. CONTROLS FOR “DO NOT TRACK” FUNCTIONS

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting that you can activate to express your privacy preferences so that data about your browsing activities is not tracked or collected. We do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we will be required to follow, we will inform you of the procedure in a revised version of the Privacy Policy.

13. UPDATES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We update the document as needed. The updated version will be marked “Revised” and will take effect as soon as it is posted. The date of the last revision of this Privacy Policy is indicated at the top of the page. If we make material changes to the Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting a prominent notice of such changes or send you a notification by email to the email address on file.
